W Machine Works has added size, speed and scope with its latest machine tool purchase - the Mori Seiki NH6300 DCGII.
This palletized, horizontal machine adds the flexibility required by a high-mix, low-volume machine shop. Not only does this machine increase the size of part (41 x 35") we are able to machine, but the 50-taper shank allows faster roughing of high-strength steels and titanium while the 10,000 max RPM spindle gives us the ability to cut aluminum quickly as well.
